Call A-1 For Sewer Repair Options
If you are experiencing reoccurring drainage problems, consider having a video pipe inspection performed to determine the cause and location of the problem area(s). This video is necessary to provide an accurate diagnosis so repair options can be considered. A-1 Sewer & Septic Service will explain the difference between a spot repair, a trenchless repair, or a complete line replacement. Let us help you determine the best choice for your property!
Sewer line repair and/or replacement will help prevent future backups due to roots or other blockages, broken lines, or offsets due to pipe deterioration. Our professional and efficient plumbers will determine if a trenchless repair is appropriate for your home or business, making sure your lawn, landscaping or driveway is left in the best condition possible. If your sewer pipe is not a candidate for a trenchless repair, no worries! Our plumbers are highly experienced in trench repairs and will discuss what that will look like for your home or business.
What is Trenchless Sewer Line Repair?
Trenchless sewer line repairs can minimize or eliminate the digging necessary to remedy your sewer line problem. A-1 Sewer & Septic Service uses a lining technique that installs a thin, yet durable fiberglass lining through your existing damaged pipe. The liner is saturated with epoxy and pulled into place. Once A-1 has placed the liner, an internal rubber bladder is inflated with air pressure which allows the epoxy to attach to the original pipe. Once the liner has cured, the bladder will be removed to restores proper flow to the damaged section of pipe which reduces the likelihood of future backups.
What Causes Sewer Line Problems?
There are many reasons your pipe could be damaged. While age is one of the most common factors, the following are some other reasons your line may need repairs:
Many older pipes are made from cast iron or clay tile. Over time your cast iron pipes will suffer from metal fatigue and deteriorate. Clay tile pipes can break down from root infiltration and ground settling issues causing offsets and gaps in the pipe walls. A-1 uses the most durable material, SDR 26, a plastic piping which meets or exceeds the latest plumbing code. With proper installation, this material will provide long lasting structural integrity requiring far fewer service calls.
Tree roots are continuously searching for water sources, even if that source is a nearby sewer line. As roots grow, they may break through your sewer pipe walls and connections, which cause major issues if left unaddressed.
While doing a spot repair or complete sewer line replacement is the most permanent solution to tree root pipe infiltration, a regularly scheduled preventative drain cleaning may prolong the life of your sewer. It is important to consult with one of our experienced plumbers to determine if it is time for a repair or replacement.
